    Modernizing the Caribou Mobile App Experience

    This project was a full rebuild of the Caribou mobile app: moving from separate native iOS and Android apps to a single Flutter platform. It was an opportunity to not only simplify the tech stack, but to rethink the entire experience.

    I worked closely with designers, engineers, and marketing to create something that felt faster, more intuitive, and easier to use. A big part of the process was listening - both to customer feedback and to insights from coffeehouse teams who see how people actually order every day. That input helped shape a more practical, thoughtful experience rather than just a visual upgrade. The end result was a cleaner, more consistent app that set us up to move faster going forward.

    Order Ahead Replatform

    Replatforming the order-ahead experience at Caribou wasn’t just a redesign: it was a full rebuild across the stack. From menu management and database structure to POS integration, every layer needed to evolve to support a more modern, scalable product.

    I spent a lot of time in the middle of it all - working closely with engineering to tackle technical challenges and keep things moving, while also partnering with the business to make sure we were building the right experience for our guests. It was a constant balance of tradeoffs, but the goal was always the same: create something more flexible, more reliable, and ultimately better for the people using it every day.

    Building a Recipe Discovery Experience

    This feature started as a simple idea: make it easier - and more inspiring - for customers to discover new ways to customize their drinks. Instead of expecting users to know exactly what they wanted, we saw an opportunity to create a more guided, exploratory experience within the app that better reflected how people actually order.

    I led the effort end-to-end, from early concept and stakeholder alignment through prototyping, design, and development. Working closely with design and engineering, we focused on creating something that felt intuitive, useful, and operationally sound. The result was a feature that improved discovery and engagement, while also driving measurable impact on average ticket size and opening the door for more personalized experiences over time.
